Indid subtype, similar to Gracile Indid, mainly found in South-West and Central Sri Lanka. Typical for Sinhalese and related people. This type's main component is the Indid, who migrated to Sri Lanka early and was later modified by admixture of Arabs, Europeans, and Malays, who have been trading with the island for centuries. Further altered by processes of local adaption. Blends with the Karnatid cohabitants and other Indid subtypes are frequent.[1]
