Wiki Contribution Guidelines

1. Accuracy & Sourcing
  • Cite Everything: All phenotype descriptions must include a reference to a recognized source (e.g., Lundman, Coon, Deniker, or HumanPhenotypes.net).
  • Objective Tone: Avoid personal opinions or "guessing" types. Use standard anthropological terminology.
2. Image Standards
  • Clear Portraits: Use high-resolution, front-facing, or profile-view images for male/female examples.
  • Neutral Backgrounds: Avoid images with heavy filters, watermarks, or distracting backgrounds where possible.
  • Consistency: Ensure the image_male and image_female fields in the infobox are used for representative types only.
3. Formatting & Structure
  • Template Usage: Always use the standard Infobox template for new pages. Do not hardcode table colors.
  • No "Dead" Sections: If you don't have information for a section (like "Traits"), leave the field blank in the template so the IF statements can hide it.
  • Gallery Mode: Use the <gallery mode="packed"> tag for additional examples to keep the page mobile-friendly.
4. Community Conduct
  • No Vandalism: Purposefully mislabeling types or deleting sourced data will result in a ban.
  • Edit Summaries: Briefly describe your changes (e.g., "Added map," "Fixed typo") in the edit summary box.

Failure to follow these rules may lead to your edits being reverted by a moderator.
